Though you might think a restaurant inside a hotel must not be very good - in this case you would be wrong. My husband and I came to this place as recommended by the hotel staff. Initially, we had those same thoughts - restaurant food is more convenient that it would be good. WRONG. The food was high-quality and delicious. I ordered an avocado that was one of the best I had ever had. It had cucumber in it for a great crunch. My husband got the French toast and again, tasty and fulfilling. We liked it so much we came back for dinner. Dinner too did not disappoint - I had the Apricot ribs and by husband had the juliette burger. The burger came with one of the most amazing sauces to complement the fries. The host and our waiters went above and beyond to help us.

-1 star because it was almost pitch black and that took away from the experience. Even my twentysomething eyes needed a flashlight to see the menu, and I was squinting at the other members of my party the entire time. But the menu had lots of appealing, unique options and the food/drink was tasty.

We stayed at the hotel here so we tried this place for breakfast. It was delicious! The waitress was nice and attentive. The eggs Benedict was really good and the PLT sandwich. I really liked the hash browns and the hollandaise. Everything was cooked perfectly. My only issue was the restaurant was really dark for breakfast. I think the style of the restaurant was more suited for dinner and hopefully we will be back one day to try it!

Make sure you all the way to the back. Ambiance is wonderful although it's oddly very dark here you may need your phone's flashlight to read the menu. Drinks were wonderfully crafted. Food is phenomenal. Ribs had great flavor and the salad/slaw that came with it the flavors were so on point ! Great combinations The wild game burger was really good..once again spot on flavors. The fries were outstanding!!!! Will also add that the online menu needs to be updated went on 3-14 and the online menu listed a larger plate chicken option that our waiter told us is no longer available. But in spite of that slight disappointment everything else was fantastic. And extra to the bar..our drinks hit the spot ! Definitely a place i would highly recommend in Chicago.

One of my favorite restaurants in America. From the exceptional service and hospitality to the gorgeous design and ambiance this is a dream location. Within moments of being here it becomes very clear why it has earned such accolades for some time now. I came to speak to you, and be it on an absolutely flawless waffle, followed by a variety of exceptional pastries. My colleague had a marvelous Benedict and everything down to the hot tea and drip coffee, could not have been executed any better. Bravo and thank you for being you.

All hash browns are not created equally. The Cherry Circle Room in Chicago is part of the historic Chicago Athletic Association. The breakfasts, especially the hash browns, a heavenly experience reminiscent of giant tater tots. The restaurant's reinvention beautifully blends its iconic history with modern design says the James Beard Awards in 2016. This spot won Outstanding Restaurant Design. Highly recommended breakfast. Open for Breakfast and Dinner Daily Sunday - Tuesday Dinner: 5p - 9p Wednesday - Saturday Dinner 5p - 11p Sat & Sunday Brunch 7a - 2p Weekday Breakfast 7a - 11a

We've had both dinner and breakfast here. Both meals were excellent and I'd certainly return the next time I'm in Chicago. The restaurant itself has a very "speakeasy" feel about it, being tucked in a dimly lit back room behind the large game room/bar on the second floor of the Chicago Athletic Association building. The seating is primarily oversized booths, which can accommodate 6 adults fairly easily and comfortably. Although in my personal opinion the servers are a little on the eccentric/strange side, everyone has been pleasant and generally very professional. The service can be a bit slow at dinner I've noticed, so don't plan to have a quick bite and pop in and out. On the flip side, we had plenty of time to chat and enjoy our meal without feeling pressured to move onto the next course. The dinner menu has plenty of options to please most I suspect, with chicken, fish, and steak dishes all represented. The beet carpaccio was interesting and I liked it more than I thought I might (warning - the horseradish/ wasabi might be too spicy for some). The other appetizer we loved was the burrata and Kuri squash, which was absolutely delicious. Separately, we stopped back for breakfast before checking out and the food was also great. Be sure to get a side of fresh fruit and the hash brown cakes. The hash browns were awesome and I want to see if I can make something similar at home.

I'll admit it's quite the journey to get the Cherry Circle Room through the Chicago Athletics Association hotel, but it was worth it! The service was absolutely top notch and I loved the moody ambiance. We got the housemade milk bread, beef tartare, and thai style mussels as starters. The milk bread is absolute MUST! The whipped ricotta with the pillowy-soft bread is fantastic. The beef tartare was good, I liked the richness that the quail egg added to the dish. However, I don't think I'd get it again. The thai mussels were flavorful, but the sauce that accompanied them was pretty salty. All of the starters came with bread, but surprisingly it wasn't too filling. For the main, we got the half fried chicken and brussels sprouts. The fried chicken was unique due to its Japanese flavors. I've never had pickled shishito peppers, but they perfectly complimented the well spiced chicken. The brussels sprouts were a little mushy, with a few of the sprouts having a bit of a crisp. Overall, I enjoyed my time at the Cherry Circle Room. The music at times heavily contrasted with the ambiance of the restaurant. The real standouts were the milk bread and the fried chicken. I'd love to come back for drinks and small bites at the bar.

Comfy little restaurant tucked in the back of the other Chicago Athletic Association's bars. We went here for our anniversary and had a great time. Pretty dark inside and the booths are all very tall so it is definitely ideal for a smaller party. We started with the A5 carpaccio. It was really good, meaty and crispy. The artichoke dip was interesting. Only get it if you really like whole artichoke. The brussel sprouts were tasty and crispy. The burger was phenomenal.  The most challenging burger i've ever eaten but also one of the best. The berry jam, chevre, and onions went great together but it just oozes sticky everywhere. We both went to wash our hands before dessert. For drinks we got the American Beauty (very refreshing), Automobile, and the coppercraft old fashioned. I didn't think the old fashioned was worth it for the price, the automobile had tasted similar and better to me. We also got the pink squirrel, which was a delicious boozy milkshake. We somehow got 3 desserts for free (not complaining). We ordered 2 and the profiterole was taking a very long time to make so they gave us an extra one and made them free. The profiterole was good but the sassafras ice cream with it was delicious and super interesting. The tres leches was very moist and creamy and the pannacotta was fruity and refreshing. There was some confusion with us thinking we ordered another entree which I think was wording/ clarity on our part. We were glad we didn't get that entree though because we were stuffed by the end. We had a great time and would definitely go back.
